Loudoun Cares Receives FY 2027 Human Services Nonprofit Grant Funding
Supporting Critical Services for Loudoun County Residents

LEESBURG, Virginia (June 2026) – The Loudoun County Board of Supervisors approved an award of $118,165.50 for FY 2027 (beginning July 1, 2026) to Loudoun Cares during its May 19, 2026 meeting. Awarded through the County’s competitive Human Services Nonprofit Grant process, Loudoun Cares was one of 46 nonprofit recipients selected to provide community-based health and human services, as well as related infrastructure of care services, particularly for underserved residents.

Loudoun Cares will use this grant to:

  • Fund general operations and special programs, enabling us to connect those in need with vital resources, including rent, utilities, and other critical expenses.
  • Provide service coordination, funding support, and case management.
  • Connect residents throughout the County to volunteer opportunities with Loudoun’s nonprofit organizations.

“Loudoun Cares plays a critical role in supporting the County’s underserved residents, and this annual grant allows us to build upon our strategic plan while continuing to operate both our ConnectLine and Volunteer Center,” said Jenny Tomlinson, Executive Director of Loudoun Cares. “Through these two programs, we can positively impact residents, nonprofits, and businesses of all sizes across Loudoun County.”
