On March 29th, GivingTuesday is a global generosity movement unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world. Jointly overseeing the COVID-19 Emergency Fund and Helpline is just one way Loudoun Cares impacts our community. Although most of our energy has gone to support this program, our staff continues to juggle simultaneously the maintenance of our other programs. The first is our Volunteer Center, where we work with our local nonprofits who are in need of volunteers, donations, and support. These nonprofits have had to rethink what volunteering looks like in our new reality, while…
The Loudoun Cares Annual Art Auction is our biggest fundraising event. Each year the event features the work of local artists in the Virginia, West Virginia, DC and Maryland regions. The event this year will be hosted by NOVAIS Partners at the Center for Innovative Technology. The auction will be in person (with all state-mandated sanitary and social distancing precautions) and live streamed on Saturday October 16, 2021. Are you looking for a little extra motivation to make your training and race day more meaningful? Join our Loudoun Cares team on Saturday, May 7, 2022 at the Dulles Greenway’s 2nd annual Run the Greenway race! We are excited to be one of the local partners involved in this race.
Run the Greenway is a family friendly race with several options, so anyone can participate – enjoy the scenic roadway by running a 5k or 10K, bring along the kids for an 800-meter Kids Fun Run, or participate in the virtual race option if you can’t be there in-person.
Last year, the inaugural Run the Greenway race raised over $156,000 for local Loudoun County non-profits. This year, we encourage you to choose the Loudoun Cares team! The Dulles Greenway will handle all aspects of the race and provide fundraising support, but 100 percent of the money raised by Run the Greenway for our team will come directly to us. The earlier you sign up, the more time you will have to train and help fundraise for our organization!
