Resource Specialist

Cathy joined Loudoun Cares in March of 2020 to assist with the Covid Relief Hotline. She came to us with several years’ experience at other non-profit organizations, assessing the needs of those requesting help and referring them to the best resources. In addition to working the Covid Relief Hotline, Cathy is our Resource Specialist for any other need that may arise for our Loudoun residents.

Previously, she spent 10 years as the Office Manager of LifeLine Counseling Center in Fairfax, VA, managing the client database, handling all accounts and billing as well as fulfilling all other office administration duties. Cathy has also been a substitute teacher and spent many years volunteering for any (and all) school opportunities that arose. She is also a published editor, having recently edited a book on the trauma suffered from pornography addiction.

Cathy started her career as a Marketing Executive with Boehringer Mannheim Diagnostics in Houston, Texas and later re-located with them, for a short time, to Indianapolis. She continued in Advertising and Marketing with several other companies, albeit in the retail space, including Remco and US Shoe Corporation, deciding to leave only to begin her full-time career as a Mom!

Cathy earned a BS in Advertising Communications from the University of Texas at Austin and is a transplanted Texan. Loudoun County has been her home for 28 years with a couple breaks in between those years for “extended trips back home”!

Cathy and her husband have raised 4 children and are now also enjoying time spent with their two grandchildren. In her spare time, she likes to camp, hike, boat and read.
